How We Make Money
Keystone Well Water is free for homeowners. We are paid a referral fee by the professional we match you with. This fee never increases the price you pay for your project.
The longer version
This site is operated by Compass Camper LLC (Oregon), doing business as Compass Lead Group. We publish free educational content about Pennsylvania well water and run a matching service that connects homeowners with independent licensed water treatment contractors. When a homeowner we introduce becomes a contractor's customer, the contractor pays us for the introduction. That is the entire business model: no homeowner fees, no markups, no equipment sales, and no paid placements inside our educational pages.
What the fee does not change
- Your price. The referral fee comes out of the contractor's marketing budget, the same budget that would otherwise buy advertising.
- Your choice. You contract directly with the professional and are free to collect other bids; nothing about the match obligates you.
- Our content. Result-band explanations and treatment write-ups are cited to Penn State Extension, the Pennsylvania DEP, EPA, NSF, and USGS, and they say the same thing whether or not you ever request a match.
Who does the work
Independent licensed local contractors. Compass Camper LLC is not a contractor and performs no testing or treatment work. Details on what we ask of matched contractors, and how to verify any Pennsylvania contractor yourself, are on the About page.
